Aston Martin DB9

Well. Looks like I’m posting back to back childhood supercars. This post however covers a completely different supercar compared to the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta which I wrote about in my previous post. This time It’s the Aston Martin DB9 which I will be covering.


Before I get into the details of the DB9 itself I thought I would share an interesting story about my introduction to Aston Martin. My introduction to Aston Martin unlike many didn’t come from James Bond. Instead, it came from the racing game Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit. The DB9, DBS Volante and I believe the V12 Vantage all were featured in the game and they were my go to cars in both in the cop and racer modes.

I ended up liking all the Aston Martins of that time but it was the DB9 which I quickly became attached to. The front of the car looks beautiful with the headlights and grill design suiting the car very well. It’s just a very attractive looking car in general and clearly I’m not the only one who has this thought because the DB9 happens to be one of Aston Martins most popular cars of all time even as of today.

The DB9 is one of the V12 engine Aston Martins. While the car may not be as fast or powerful compared to other Aston Martins or supercars, it still is a great supercar for its own reasons. The DB9 became an ideal choice for those who wanted a stylish supercar that is more suited to everyday driving. There are a lot of customization options for the owner as well.
 
No doubt the Aston Martin DB9 is one of the brands big successes. So much that the DB9 ended up having a production run of 13 years which is longer than most supercars. The DB9 for me is one of the most beautiful cars Aston Martin ever made and is still my favorite as of today.

Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica

The Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica is the newest Huracan variant that was launched. It is a mid level variant positioned in between the normal Evo variant and the top end track focused STO variant. The Huracan Tecnica is powered by a 631 horsepower V10, so even though it isn’t as powerful as the STO it is still a pretty powerful car by itself. The car reaches a top speed of 325 kmph as well, so the Tecnica is a great package for those who want a faster Huracan that is still road friendly and not track focused. The Huracan Tecnica has some visible exterior changes as well. The general looks are a lot sharper and more aggressive compared to the regular Huracan especially with the black bits at the front. There are a wide variety of customization options as well for owners to spec their car as per their liking, like a carbon fiber hood. Ferrari SF90 XX

The Ferrari SF90 Stradale is already an incredible car by itself, having a total of 1000 hp being powered by a hybrid V8 engine, a top speed of 300+ kmph and a super powerful acceleration. It makes the SF90 Stradale one of Ferraris most powerful cars currently. But if there is one thing you need to know about Ferrari it’s that they will always find a way to enhance some of their fastest production cars and make them even more powerful, usually by creating a high performance or track focused variant that is limited edition. Ferrari have made several of these types of supercars already with the 458 Speciale, 488 Pista, F12 TDF and the 812 Competizione for example. Now it’s the SF90 Stradale’s turn.
