Having previously covered the McLaren P1 (P1 GTR to be exact) and LaFerrari which are the other two members of a group of hypercars that are known as the Holy Trinity, I felt it was time to give some attention to the 3rd, which also happens to be a car I really like as well. The Porsche 918 Spyder. The 918 Spyder is powered by a hybrid V8 engine. The V8 itself has 608 horsepower and combined with two electric motors that add around 282 additional horsepower, the car in total has around 875 horsepower. It reaches top speed of 346 kmph making it the fastest Porsche created as of now. Even though the 918 Spyder may not be as powerful as the LaFerrari or P1, it is still a unique hypercar with its own stand out features that make it special. The Auto Madness event in Dubai gave me a great amount of interesting cars to photograph. One of the more unique cars that I saw over there was the Porsche 911 Dakar Edition which was launched just earlier in 2023. What makes the 911 Dakar unique is that it is a 4 wheel drive, off road edition of the regular 911. As of now it is one of only two known supercar off roaders, the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato being the other one. The 911 Dakar sits on a higher platform, has higher ground clearance and comes with special off road tires in order to support off road driving. It also comes with an optional white and blue racing livery with a number on the car if you want. With around 2000 units to be produced, the 911 Dakar is quite rare as well.  Interestingly enough, the 911 Dakar is already sold out. With Porsche seemingly getting a great success with the 911 Dakar with the car being sold out not long after it was launched, it will be interesting to see if the supercar off roader concept...

Car events are the best way to not only photograph interesting cars, but also hang out with fellow enthusiasts. It is for this reason that I try and attend as many of these car events as possible when the chance comes.  That is why I ended up going to Auto Madness Dubai, a car event taking place on November 4th and 5th in Dubai hosted by well known Dutch organizer 402automotive. 402automotive have hosted car events in the Netherlands, Belgium and Austria for more than 20 years. I have been to car events before but nothing of this scale. I had a couple of doubts going into it at first but eventually I decided I was going to do it. It turned out to be a great decision. I got to photograph my first hypercars, as well as several supercars, classic and modified cars. It was also the first time I ever went to a race track as it was hosted in the Dubai Autodrome. A hypercar in simple terms is basically an ultimate supercar. There are several key features in order to classify a car as a hypercar. Mainly aerodynamics and performance, design and rarity. Hypercars usually use highly advanced materials such as carbon fiber in their design to keep the car lightweight which helps with the aerodynamics of the car and to increase its top speed. Due to the aerodynamics, majority of hypercars have a distinct shape that also happens to stand out visually and make it more recognizable. For rarity. The Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica is the newest Huracan variant that was launched. It is a mid level variant positioned in between the normal Evo variant and the top end track focused STO variant. The Huracan Tecnica is powered by a 631 horsepower V10, so even though it isn’t as powerful as the STO it is still a pretty powerful car by itself. The car reaches a top speed of 325 kmph as well, so the Tecnica is a great package for those who want a faster Huracan that is still road friendly and not track focused. The Huracan Tecnica has some visible exterior changes as well. The general looks are a lot sharper and more aggressive compared to the regular Huracan especially with the black bits at the front. It’s been a while since I’ve written about one of the cars in my rather old Supercars trump card set that is from around 2014. This set consists of 25 supercars and hypercars mainly from the mid 1990’s to the early 2010’s. The Ferrari SF90 Stradale is already an incredible car by itself, having a total of 1000 hp being powered by a hybrid V8 engine, a top speed of 300+ kmph and a super powerful acceleration. It makes the SF90 Stradale one of Ferraris most powerful cars currently. But if there is one thing you need to know about Ferrari it’s that they will always find a way to enhance some of their fastest production cars and make them even more powerful, usually by creating a high performance or track focused variant that is limited edition. Land Rover has a variety of cars and the famous Range Rover itself comes in many variants. The most luxurious and high end variant out of all of them is called the Range Rover Autobiography. The Range Rover Autobiography is actually a very expensive car and in India costs around 4 to 4.5 crores making it as expensive as many supercars. But despite the cost, the car ended up getting quite a few buyers. One of the reasons being it is the best luxury SUV in that segment as the Rolls Royce Cullinan and Bentley Bentayga are still more expensive with others being more performance based. The McLaren 720S is pretty powerful by itself, but there is an even more powerful limited edition variant of the 720S out there. It is called the 765LT.  So the 765 LT is a high performance and more track focused car compared to the 720S so as a result it has certain changes like increased horsepower and speed and also lesser weight to make the car lighter. McLaren also later launched a 765LT Spider not long after the coupe. There are also a ton of customization and spec options for the 765 LT. In fact McLaren’s Special Operations division that is responsible for customizing McLaren cars have created some of the most insane specs including some of the 765 LT. When the Bugatti Veyron was launched in 2005 it soon became obvious that this car was very special, as it broke the production car top speed record which made it became successful very quickly and became an extremely popular car known all over the world. Even when I just got into supercars I knew what the Veyron was, that was how popular it had become.  The Veyron started official production not long after and besides the normal Veyron Bugatti would later introduce several Veyron variants like the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse and the Veyron Super Sport.  The Veyron Super Sport broke the speed record again by reaching a total of 431 kmph, a record that for years until it was beaten by the Koenigsegg Agera. It’s been a while since I have written a BMW post so I thought It's time I did one. As you can see it's the BMW M4 I'll write about. The M4 is the smaller 2 door performance M series car with the larger one being the M8. The latest generation of the M4 was launched in 2021 and as you can imagine the exterior looks are very controversial. I’m personally not a fan of BMW grills especially when they are big and the M4 clearly is one of the cars that are affected by the grill being too large. I definitely think the M8’s proportions are better compared to the M4. The performance on the other hand is what redeems the M4, producing over 500 horsepower and reaching a top speed of 250 kmph in just the base variant. Well. Looks like I’m posting back to back childhood supercars. This post however covers a completely different supercar compared to the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta which I wrote about in my previous post. This time It’s the Aston Martin DB9 which I will be covering. Before I get into the details of the DB9 itself I thought I would share an interesting story about my introduction to Aston Martin. My introduction to Aston Martin unlike many didn’t come from James Bond. Instead, it came from the racing game Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit. I was looking through the different Ferraris and noticed a name of a car which I had forgotten about but the moment I saw the name I remembered it because I had known this car back in my childhood. As soon as I remembered this Ferrari I have been wanting to make a post about it. The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. The F12 Berlinetta was launched in 2012 and produced until 2015. There are many variants of the famous Porsche 911 but it is the Porsche 911 Turbo S that I will be covering today. The Porsche 911 Turbo S is the best of the normal, non track 911s that you can buy. The Turbo S has 640 horsepower and a great top speed of 330 kmph. The 911 Turbo S also comes with a convertible version called the Turbo S Cabriolet. It is no surprise that the Turbo S is one of the more popular 911 models as it has all the performance that you would expect from a 911 but it can also easily be driven well on roads. I have been wanting to make a post about for quite some time now about a special hypercar. This car happens to be one of the first hypercars I ever knew about back when I was a kid. I remember that I immediately loved this hypercar the moment I saw a photo of it and it is still among my favorite ones today. The Pagani Huayra. After a long wait the successor of the Lamborghini Aventador was finally launched. The new Lamborghini is called the Revuelto. It is Lamborghini's first plug in hybrid supercar. The Revuelto is the most powerful Lamborghini to be launched at 1001 horsepower and the car has a claimed top speed of 340 kmph which would make it one of the fastest Lamborghinis. It competes with Ferrari’s SF90 Stradale which is also a 1000 hp plug in hybrid supercar. Moving on the to the design of the car. The electric hypercar segment is one that is rapidly growing with many car makers having seen the opportunity in this segment. There are already several electric hypercars out there including the Rimac Nevera, Lotus Evija and the hypercar this post is about. The Pininfarina Battista. Pininfarina is a famous car design company from Italy which has worked with several legendary car makers such as Ferrari and Maserati. The company was acquired in recent times by Indian car maker Mahindra. The Pininfarina Battista itself was announced in 2022 with just 150 units expected to be produced. This makes the Battista the first hypercar created by an Indian owned company. In 2023 the Battista became the fastest ever car on Indian soil as it reached a top speed of 358 kmph. I had made a blog about the regular Lamborghini Urus a long time back but recently an even more powerful version of the Urus was released called the Urus Performante. The Urus Performante now has 657 hp while the standard Urus has 641 hp which means the Urus Performante is 16 hp more powerful compared to it’s standard variant. The Urus Performante is also much faster than the Urus and more suited to the track. It is also 47 kg lighter and this lack of weight is another thing that enables the Urus Performante to go at higher speeds. It also definitely looks a lot more like a true performance SUV with the exterior design being changed quite a bit compared to the Urus. The Ferrari LaFerrari or just the LaFerrari as it is known is one of the most special Ferraris. The LaFerrari is a part of what I call the Fantastic Four Of Ferrari which consists of the F40, F50, Enzo and LaFerrari. These are all extremely rare, exclusive and highly valuable limited edition Ferrari models which are on the wishlist for supercar photographers and other Ferrari fans to photograph. The Porsche 911 GT3 is the high performance variant of the Porsche 911 and one of the most famous performance cars of all time. The car that I blog about however is the 911 GT3 RS which is basically an even better version of the 911 GT3. The 911 GT3 RS is much faster compared to the GT3 and is made more specifically to race on the track. The GT3 RS reaches a top speed of well over 300 kmph making it one of the fastest Porsches, it also has a great acceleration. The GT3 RS gets its great power from a naturally aspirated flat-six engine. It is clear when you look at the GT3 RS that it is a true track car. Some of the noticeable features on the GT3 RS are the large spoiler on the back of the car and the letters of the model name written on the side of the car.
